Painted Woods is a single family development in Waukee with large lots set in mature oak woodland. Nilles Associates worked with the developer to minimize grading, emphasize natural elements of the site, and to encompass the creek section into individual properties. Outlot parcels within the floodplain of the creek are tied to each property, providing extra land to each owner, but requiring no extra flood insurance. Nilles Associates provided platting, construction drawings for the street and utilities, and developed details for an entry feature and erosion repairs along the creek.
